BOSTON, MA – Ondas Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS) announced on November 17, 2025, that it has secured an approximate $8.2 million purchase order from a major European security agency. The order is for the deployment of multiple Iron Drone Raider™ counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) solutions to protect one of Europe’s largest international airports. Ondas’ Airobotics subsidiary will serve as the prime contractor, overseeing the system’s integration, installation, and operational readiness.
Addressing the Growing Threat of Drone Intrusions
The significant contract comes amid increasing concerns over drone intrusions at European airports, which have recently caused severe operational disruptions, flight suspensions, and economic losses. These incidents have highlighted a critical need for advanced and reliable counter-drone technologies beyond traditional detection systems.
Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas, emphasized the importance of this order, stating, “This landmark order underscores the growing global confidence in our autonomous defense capabilities.” He added that it validates Ondas’ strategic focus on delivering fully integrated, multi-layered C-UAS systems that combine kinetic interception with cyber-based mitigation.
The Iron Drone Raider™ System: Autonomous Interception
At the core of the new deployment is the Iron Drone Raider™ system, a fully autonomous counter-UAS solution designed to safeguard critical infrastructure. The system employs an AI-enabled detection-to-intercept workflow, where an interceptor drone is launched to safely capture hostile UAS using a reusable net payload. This approach ensures continuous, 24/7 protection without causing collateral damage or interfering with civilian communications.
Oshri Lugassy, Co-CEO of Ondas Autonomous Systems, described the Raider as representing “a new standard in autonomous counter-UAS defense,” built for complex, high-traffic environments to deliver continuous readiness, rapid response, and precision interception.
A Multi-Layered Approach to Airspace Security
Ondas’ strategy involves integrating air, ground, and cyber domains into a unified “System-of-Systems” architecture. The Iron Drone Raider provides the kinetic engagement and interception layer. This is complemented by advanced Cyber-over-RF (CoRF) capabilities, which Ondas has recently bolstered through its acquisition of Sentrycs in November 2025. Sentrycs’ CoRF technology allows for the precise, controlled detection and “soft-kill” takeover of hostile drones, minimizing interference with legitimate communications.
This comprehensive, multi-layered defense ecosystem is designed to secure critical airspace and enhance the resilience of national and civilian infrastructure worldwide.
Ondas’ Expanding Defense Portfolio
The $8.2 million purchase order follows a period of strategic growth and significant developments for Ondas Holdings. The company recently reported a substantial revenue increase for the third quarter of 2025 and an expanded backlog. This contract adds to Ondas’ growing presence in the defense and homeland security markets, showcasing its commitment to providing cutting-edge autonomous solutions for evolving security challenges. The company has also made other strategic investments, including a $14 million equity investment in Safe Pro Group Inc. to advance AI-enabled defense and security solutions.
